Tabakov

Dimitar Tabakov is a software engineer and DevOps leader with over a decade of experience designing, deploying, and securing scalable cloud-native infrastructure for fintech, enterprise SaaS, and digital-asset platforms. As Chief DevOps and SecOps Officer for the Astra ecosystem, he is responsible for the stability, scalability, and regulatory integrity of mission-critical systems across AstraBit, AstraBlox, and AstraEx — embedding security and supervisory controls into every stage of deployment.

He began his career in 2014 building sophisticated web applications and large-scale platforms — including high-volume hotel reservation systems and video-hosting platforms — across PHP, JavaScript, and the front-end stack. In 2017 he joined SBND Technologies, contributing to projects such as SmartValor, a leading European digital-asset exchange, where he focused on front-end engineering with Angular and TypeScript and pioneered server-side rendering. It was here that he embraced containerization with Docker and moved into DevOps, owning CI/CD automation and deployment workflows.

Between 2019 and 2022 he served as a dedicated DevOps engineer for HelloTeam, an enterprise HR and engagement platform, where he managed Kubernetes clusters on AWS, automated CI/CD delivery with Concourse, and advanced infrastructure provisioning through Terraform — keeping a platform serving thousands of enterprise users reliable, compliant, and resilient.

Since 2021 he has been a core leader within the Astra ecosystem, spearheading DevSecOps across AstraBit, AstraBlox, and AstraEx. He architects cloud-native infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes (EKS), builds modern CI/CD pipelines, and runs observability through Prometheus, Elastic Cloud, and Grafana. By embedding security at every layer of the stack, he keeps Astra’s platforms resilient, audit-ready, and aligned with FINRA, SEC, and CFTC requirements — the operational backbone of 24/7 digital-asset markets.
