How to Connect ApeX Omni to AstraBit

This guide explains how to connect your ApeX Omni account to AstraBit using API keys so the two platforms can communicate securely.

The steps cover where to find API settings on ApeX Omni, how to create and configure keys, and where to enter that information in AstraBit.

This article does not provide trading advice and is only for technical setup.

Step 1: Connect Wallet To ApeX Omni

Step 2: Create ApeX OMNI Account

  • To finalize your ApeX Omni account, you will need to sign a few messages.
  • First signature request is to verify wallet ownership.
  • Second signature request is to ensure wallet compatibility.
  • Third signature request is to Create Your Account on ApeX Omni.

    | NOTE: These will open in your web3 wallet.
    | NOTE: There are no gas fees for these transactions.
    | NOTE: Ensure your wallets network matches the selected network on ApeX Omni.

Step 3: Deposit Funds onto ApeX Omni

  • ApeX Omni is multi-chain, meaning you can select from available networks ApeX supports.
  • You will need USDT.
  • For this example, we are using Arbitrum Network. NOTE: You will need ETH on Arbitrum Network for gas fees.
  • ApeX does offer a swap if needed to convert/swap digital currencies.
  • Click on “Deposit” to begin.
  • Input the amount of USDT to deposit.
  • Confirm the transaction in your wallet. NOTE: There will be a small gas fee.
  • Your deposit will arrive on ApeX in the time determined by the network you used.

    |NOTE: If it is your first time using USDT on ApeX, you will be asked to sign a transaction to Enable USDT. This allows ApeX Omni to access your USDT. It is an additional step and will incur a small gas fee.

Step 4: Fund Your Perpetuals Account

  • Once your funds have been deposited, you will need to transfer them to your Perpetuals Account.
  • Click on “Transfer” and select “From Funding Account to Perpetuals Account.”
  • Confirm the amount and then click “Confirm Transfer.”
  • A transaction will open in your wallet, pay the small gas fee.
  • After confirmation, your funds will appear.

Step 5: Create Your API

  • Click on your account profile picture in the top right.
  • You will see your funds in the Perpetual account.
  • From here, click on “API Management.”

Step 5b: Copy Your API Information

  • You will need the Omni Key and to Generate API.
  • Your Omni Key and certain parts of your API will only be shown once. | NOTE: Keep this information private and DO NOT share it with anyone!
  • Copy your Account ID, API Key, API Passphrase, API Secret Key (aka API Private Key).
  • Click “Confirm” and your API will be created.

Step 6: Connect Your ApeX Omni API to AstraBit

  • Navigate to the API Manager in your AstraBit account.
  • Click on “Create API” or “Connect New API” if you have others.
  • Fill out the required information you gather from the last step.
  • Select “ApeX Omni”
  • Name your API whatever you like.
  • Contract Type select “USDT Futures – Omni”.
  • Position and Margin are on Auto Sync by default.
  • The remaining fields are what you will paste from ApeX API and Omni Key creation.
  • Once you have input that information, click on Save/Connect.

Step 7: Confirm Your API Connection

  • Once saved and successful, you will see the new API added to your list of APIs.
  • If you encounter an error, please reach out to support.
  • From this point, you are able to set up a trading bot with this API.
