- AstraBit does not guarantee trade execution if an exchange is unavailable or experiencing technical issues.
Section 4: Understanding Trading Strategies
What Is a Trading Strategy?
A trading strategy is a predefined set of rules that determines when a bot may:
- Enter a position
- Manage an open position
- Exit a position
Strategies operate based on logic defined by the strategy creator and may use various inputs.
Common Strategy Inputs
Strategies may incorporate:
- Technical indicators (e.g., RSI, MACD, moving averages)
- Price action logic
- Trend or momentum systems
- Volatility or breakout conditions
- External signals such as TradingView alerts or API inputs
Strategy Access Types on AstraBit
| Strategy Type | Description | Intended Users |
| Pre-Built Strategies | Marketplace-listed strategies configured for general use | Users seeking ready-to-use options |
| Independent Strategist Strategies | AstraBit vetted strategies built by third-party strategists | Users following external strategy logic |
| Custom Signal Strategies | User-created strategies via webhook, API, or scripts | Advanced users and developers |
Strategy Selection Considerations
Users should consider:
- Risk tolerance
- Market and asset preferences
- Capital allocation approach
- Whether they understand the strategy logic
- Strategies may perform differently across market conditions and time periods.
Users are encouraged not to use strategies they do not understand.
Section 5: Setting Up Your Trading Bot
Accessing the Bot Creation Tool
- Log into the AstraBit Nexus Dashboard
- Navigate to https://bot.astrabit.io/create
- Select Create Bot
Step-by-Step: Bot Configuration
Step 1: Trading Type
Choose a strategy type:
- The Strategy Marketplace
- Elite Trader (Beta)
- Personal Strategies
- Sync Performance History (Codex Bot)
Users may review strategy descriptions and configuration parameters.
Step 2: Assign an Exchange API
- Select one of the connected exchange APIs.
- Or Connect a new exchange API
Ensure the exchange account holds the required assets for the strategy, Typically USDC or USDT.
Step 3: Configure Trade Settings
Depending on the strategy, users may configure:
- Capital allocation (percentage or fixed amount)
- Leverage and margin mode, if applicable
- Stop-loss and take-profit parameters
- DCA or cooldown settings
Leverage increases risk and may amplify losses. Only use leverage if you understand and accept the risks associated with it.
Step 4: Name and Save the Bot
Assign a name for identification and review all settings before saving.
Step 5: Activate the Bot
Once saved, the bot will appear in the dashboard. Activating the bot allows it to monitor signals and submit trades according to strategy rules.
Bot Setup Considerations
- Bots begin monitoring signals only after activation and sufficient credits are available.
- Bot performance depends on user-selected settings, exchange conditions, and strategy logic.
- Users may pause or deactivate bots at any time from the dashboard.
Credits and Activity Notes
- If available AstraBit credits run out, bots may stop monitoring or executing trades until credits are replenished.
- Paused or inactive bots do not execute trades but may retain saved configurations for later use.
