Automation Software for OKX Traders

OKX Trading Bot. Your Rules, Executed.

Already trade on OKX? AstraBit is trading automation software that connects to your existing OKX derivatives account by API and executes the rules and signals you choose. Run marketplace strategies, connect your own signals, or trade manually, all from one dashboard. Your funds stay on OKX.

Bots from $0.33/day Paid in credits · billed after your first trade · OKX’s own fees are separate
  • Free to sign up
  • No coding required
  • No withdrawal or transfer access

AstraBit is independent software and is not affiliated with OKX. This integration connects to OKX’s global platform, which is not available to U.S. persons, and its derivatives products are restricted in some other countries. It’s intended only for traders who are permitted to use OKX derivatives under its terms and the laws where they live. Trading perpetual futures involves significant risk of loss.

Before You Create the Key

Two OKX settings have to match

  • Account mode Single-currency margin
  • Position mode One-way
  • API permissions Read + Trade
  • Withdraw & transfer Off
  • Credentials API key, secret key, passphrase

Set these on OKX before you create your API key. The wrong settings can block trades from executing. AstraBit can’t withdraw or move your funds.

AstraBit Is the Software, Not the Exchange

This page is for people who already use OKX derivatives and want to automate how they trade there. Here’s who handles what.

  • The exchange

    OKX

Holds your funds, verifies your identity, sets its own fees, and decides who is eligible to use it. Your account is with OKX, not AstraBit.

  • The decision-maker

    You

You decide whether to trade, which strategy or signals to run, and how much risk to take. You’re also responsible for confirming you’re allowed to use OKX derivatives.

  • The software

    AstraBit

Sends the trade instructions you’ve configured to your account through an API key you create. It can’t withdraw or transfer funds, and it doesn’t recommend that you trade on OKX or any other exchange.

The Basics

What Is an OKX Trading Bot?

An OKX trading bot is software that places and manages orders on your OKX account automatically, following rules you define, so you don’t have to enter every order by hand. AstraBit’s OKX integration supports USDT perpetuals and inverse perpetual contracts from your derivatives account. Spot trading isn’t supported.

Your bot is one of AstraBit’s automated crypto trading bots and runs through an API key you create on OKX. Your funds stay in your OKX account, withdrawal and transfer permissions stay off on the key, and AstraBit only sends the trade instructions your settings call for. From the AstraBit dashboard, you monitor your positions, orders, and P&L.

Your Options

What Are the Different Ways to Use AstraBit with OKX?

One API connection, three ways to use it: automate a published strategy, bring a strategy you’ve already built, or place orders manually.

Automated

Marketplace Strategies

Choose a published Verified Strategy from the AstraBit Strategy Marketplace and link it to your OKX bot. Its signals execute on your account automatically, with no coding required. Automation applies rules consistently; it doesn’t reduce the risk of the underlying trades.

Strategies are created by independent third-party Strategists. A listing is not a recommendation or endorsement, and results are not guaranteed.

Automated

Bring Your Own Strategy

Already have a system? Connect a custom strategy in any language or send TradingView alerts via webhook. AstraBit handles execution on your OKX account.

Manual

Manual Trading Dashboard

Prefer to trade yourself? Open and close OKX positions from the AstraBit dashboard, alongside your other connected exchange accounts, with charts, orders, and P&L in one place.

Running bots on other exchanges too? With copy trading, one Advanced bot acts as your Master and your other bots follow its trades, even on other exchanges. A Follower can only copy a pair its own exchange offers, and losses copy too.

Getting Started

How Do I Connect My OKX Account to AstraBit?

If you already have an OKX account, connecting it takes three parts: set your trading mode, create an API key, and add it in AstraBit.

OKX’s global platform is not available to U.S. persons. Check OKX’s terms to confirm you’re eligible for derivatives trading before connecting.

Part 1 · Configure your OKX settings

  1. Open trading settings on an eligible OKX account

Log in to OKX, go to your Trading Dashboard, and open Settings. New to OKX? Signing up through our referral link makes you Freemium-eligible.

Referral disclosure: AstraBit earns a commission from OKX based on your trading volume when you register through this link, and a portion may be returned to you as credits. This means AstraBit benefits financially from your trading activity. See how credits work.

  2. Set Account Mode to Single-currency margin

Find Account Mode, choose Single-currency margin, and confirm OKX’s agreement for the change.

  3. Set Position Mode to One-way

Find Position Mode and choose One-way mode.

Part 2 · Create your OKX API key

  1. Open API Management

Go to Profile → API Management.

  2. Create and name a new key

Click Create API Key and give it a name, such as “AstraBit Trading.”

  3. Set the key’s permissions

Enable Read and Trade. Leave Withdraw and Account Transfer off; AstraBit never needs them.

  4. Add a passphrase and verify

Set a strong passphrase, add an IP whitelist if you’d like (recommended), and complete 2FA. Store the API key, secret key, and passphrase securely.

Part 3 · Connect in AstraBit

  1. Add the key in AstraBit

In Nexus, go to Exchanges → Connect Exchange → OKX and enter your API name, API key, secret key, and passphrase. Then set up your first bot with our step-by-step guide: How to Create a Crypto Trading Bot.

Set Up Your Bot

Before You Connect

  • An eligible OKX account with access to derivatives
  • Account mode set to Single-currency margin and position mode to One-way
  • A balance of roughly $50–$100+ in USDT (or the equivalent in supported assets such as BTC, ETH, or XRP), so AstraBit can detect it and place orders reliably
  • API permissions: Read + Trade, with Withdraw and Account Transfer off

Our guide walks through every step, from account and position mode to API permissions and connecting in Nexus, with screenshots and a final checklist.

What Should You Know Before Using an OKX Trading Bot?

A bot makes trading easier, but it doesn’t make it risk-free. Here’s what we’d want to know if we were in your shoes.

Check Your Eligibility First

OKX sets its own rules on who can use it. Its global platform isn’t available to U.S. persons, and derivatives trading is restricted in some other countries. AstraBit doesn’t decide your eligibility; confirm it under OKX’s terms and your local laws before you connect.

AstraBit Doesn’t Pick Your Trades

The software executes the strategy, signals, or manual orders you choose. It doesn’t advise you on what to trade, which exchange to use, or how much to risk.

Your Settings Have to Match

AstraBit needs OKX set to Single-currency margin and One-way position mode. With other settings, trades can fail or execute inconsistently, so set both before you create your API key.

Leverage Works Both Ways

Perpetual futures use leverage, so gains and losses are magnified, and positions can be liquidated quickly if the market moves against you. Trading them, automated or not, involves a significant risk of loss. A bot follows rules; it does not guarantee outcomes.

A Minimum Balance Helps the Connection

The connection guide recommends roughly $50–$100+ in USDT, or the equivalent in supported assets, so AstraBit can detect your balance and place orders reliably. This is a technical requirement, not a suggested amount to trade.

OKX Is a Centralized Exchange

OKX holds the assets in your account and requires identity verification, which works differently from on-chain venues where you hold your own keys. Learn what a centralized exchange is, or read our guide to centralized vs. decentralized exchanges.

Freemium Program

How Do AstraBit Credits and Freemium Work?

There are no subscriptions on AstraBit. You pay for bots with AstraBit Credits at a daily rate, billed only after your bot’s first trade. If your OKX account was registered through AstraBit’s referral link, a portion of the referral commissions AstraBit receives on your eligible trading volume may be returned to you as credits, which can offset some or all of your AstraBit costs. Credits depend on your actual activity and are not guaranteed.

How AstraBit is paid: AstraBit earns referral commissions from OKX based on the trading volume of accounts registered through our link, and returns a portion to eligible users as credits. This means AstraBit benefits financially from referred accounts’ trading activity. AstraBit doesn’t tell you which exchange to use or how much to trade; those decisions are always yours. Credits are not cash, have no cash value, and are not transferable.

  1. Create your AstraBit account

Registration is free, and completing onboarding tasks can earn credits. Here’s how.

  2. Connect an eligible OKX account

Accounts registered with AstraBit’s referral link qualify for applicable loyalty benefits.

  3. Credits accrue on eligible activity

A portion of eligible commissions is returned to you as AstraBit Credits.

  4. Apply credits toward platform costs

Credits apply 1:1 toward eligible bot and strategy fees.

1 Credit = 1 USD. Billing starts after your first trade. Stop anytime by deleting the bot.
OKX referral link (Freemium-eligible)

Auto Top-Up (optional): If you turn it on, AstraBit will automatically charge your saved payment method whenever your credit balance falls below a threshold you choose (from $5 to $100). You also choose the top-up amount, with a $25 minimum per top-up. Charges continue each time your balance drops below that threshold until you turn Auto Top-Up off under Billing & Subscriptions. To stop all charges, delete your bots and turn off Auto Top-Up.

Commission rates are set by each exchange under its own affiliate program terms and may change at any time. Credit eligibility, accrual, and redemption are subject to program terms. Credits do not expire but are non-refundable and are forfeited if your account is closed. See the full Freemium + Loyalty Program terms.

Here’s what happens after you sign up:

  1. 1Create your free account
  2. 2Add your OKX API key
  3. 3Set your rules and launch your bot

AstraBit provides trading automation software and is not affiliated with OKX. Nothing on this page is a recommendation to trade perpetual futures or to use any particular exchange, and AstraBit does not provide investment advice. OKX’s global platform is not available to U.S. persons, and not all exchanges AstraBit supports are available in every jurisdiction. You’re responsible for making sure your use of any connected exchange is permitted where you live. Trading perpetual futures involves a significant risk of loss and may not be suitable for all investors. Leverage magnifies both gains and losses. Automation does not assure profits or protect against losses. Past performance of any strategy is not indicative of future results. AstraBit earns referral commissions from OKX and some other connected exchanges; see program terms. Credits are not cash and have no cash value.

FAQ

OKX Trading Bot Questions

What is an OKX trading bot?

An OKX trading bot is software that places and manages perpetual futures orders on your OKX account automatically, based on rules you define. On AstraBit, the bot connects to your OKX account through an API key you create. It can follow a marketplace strategy or run a strategy you’ve built yourself, and you can also place manual orders from the AstraBit dashboard.

Is AstraBit part of OKX?

No. AstraBit is independent trading automation software and is not affiliated with OKX. OKX is a separate centralized exchange that holds your funds and sets its own eligibility rules and fees. AstraBit connects to your account by API and executes the instructions you configure. It doesn’t recommend that you trade on OKX or any other exchange.

Can U.S. residents use AstraBit with OKX?

AstraBit’s OKX integration connects to OKX’s global platform, which is not available to U.S. persons, so U.S. residents can’t use it. AstraBit’s technology also works on other supported exchanges; check each exchange’s terms for availability where you live.

Does AstraBit hold my OKX funds?

No. Your funds stay in your OKX account at all times. AstraBit connects through API permissions that allow trade execution only, and withdrawal and transfer permissions stay off on the key.

Why does OKX need Single-currency margin and One-way mode?

AstraBit’s OKX integration is built for those two settings. With a different account mode or position mode, orders can fail or execute inconsistently. Set Account Mode to Single-currency margin and Position Mode to One-way in OKX’s trading settings before you create your API key.

Does AstraBit support OKX spot trading?

Not currently. AstraBit’s OKX integration supports USDT perpetuals and inverse perpetual contracts from your derivatives account.

How does AstraBit connect to OKX?

Through an API key. In OKX, open Profile → API Management, create a key with Read and Trade permissions, leave Withdraw and Account Transfer off, and set a passphrase. Then enter the API key, secret key, and passphrase in AstraBit’s Nexus dashboard under Exchanges → Connect Exchange → OKX. The step-by-step guide covers the full setup with screenshots.

How much does an OKX trading bot cost on AstraBit?

Opening an account is free. Bots are paid for with AstraBit Credits (1 credit = $1 USD) at a daily rate, and billing only begins after your bot executes its first trade. Daily rates are 0.33 credits for Basic, 0.66 for Standard, and 1.33 for Advanced, or about 9.90 to 39.90 credits over 30 billable days. A Nexus tier is in development; its planned rate (1.99) and features may change. These prices cover AstraBit’s software only; OKX charges its own trading fees. If your OKX account is registered through AstraBit’s referral link, eligible activity may earn credits that offset some or all of your AstraBit costs. AstraBit earns referral commissions on that activity. See the Freemium + Loyalty Program for details.

Can I use my own strategy or TradingView alerts?

Yes. You can connect a custom strategy coded in any language, or send signals from TradingView to AstraBit via webhook. AstraBit receives the signal and executes on your connected OKX account. See how to connect a custom strategy.

Is AstraBit a regulated company?

AstraBit operates as CPT Capital, LLC, a U.S. broker-dealer registered with the SEC and a member of FINRA (CRD# 331540). You can verify our registration at FINRA BrokerCheck. Note: not all AstraBit services are broker-dealer services regulated by the SEC or FINRA.
