How to Connect OKX to AstraBit

Connect your OKX account to AstraBit for automated trading. This guide explains account requirements, required trading settings, API key creation, and connection steps.

Before you Begin

Important Account Configuration

PRIOR to creating your API, confirm your OKX trading settings are configured correctly. Incorrect margin or position settings may prevent trades from executing properly in AstraBit.

Required Settings:
  • You are trading with USDT Perpetuals or Inverse Perpetual Contracts from an OKX derivatives account
  • You have a minimum balance of at least $50–$100+ USDT in your OKX trading wallet (or equivalent value in supported assets such as BTC, ETH, XRP)
  • Account Mode: Single-currency margin
  • Position Mode: One-way mode

Part 1: Configure OKX Account Settings

Step 1: Access Trading Settings

  1. Log in to your OKX account
  2. Navigate to your Trading Dashboard
  3. Open Settings

Step 2: Set Account Mode

  1. Locate Account Mode
  2. Select Single-currency margin
  3. Confirm OKX agreement to change the Account Mode

Step 3: Set Position Mode

  1. Locate Position Mode
  2. Select One-way mode

⚠️ These settings must match AstraBit requirements. Incorrect configuration may result in failed or inconsistent trade execution.

Part 2: Create OKX API Keys

Step 4: Open API Management

  1. Log in to OKX account and view the Dashboard
  2. Navigate to Profile → API Management

Step 5: Create New API Key

  1. Click Create API Key
  2. Name the API (example: AstraBit Trading)

Step 6: Configure API Permissions

Enable only the permissions required for AstraBit.

Recommended Permissions

  • Read Access
  • Trade Access

Disable

  • Withdraw Access
  • Account Transfer Permissions

⚠️ AstraBit does not require withdrawal permissions.

Step 7: Set Security Controls

  1. Set a strong Passphrase
  2. Configure IP whitelist (recommended for added security)
  3. Complete verification (2FA, email, etc.)

⚠️ Store your API key, secret key, and passphrase securely. If lost or compromised, generate a new API key immediately.

Part 3: Connect OKX API to AstraBit

Step 8: Connect in AstraBit

  1. Log in to your AstraBit Nexus Dashboard
  2. Navigate to Exchanges → Connect Exchange → OKX

Enter:

  • API Name
  • API Key
  • Secret Key
  • Passphrase

Then click Connect

API Configuration Checklist

Ensure your OKX API has:

  • Trading permissions enabled
  • Read permissions enabled
  • Withdrawal permissions disabled
