Security & Compliance Notes
- 2FA is strongly recommended
- KYC is required for billing and access to AstraBit products/services
- API keys: read + trading only, never withdrawals
Account access is controlled by your login credentials and enabled security features such as 2FA.
Create an AstraBit Account
- Visit the registration page: nexus.astrabit.io.
- Enter your email address and a strong, unique password.
- Verify your email — click the verification link, and enable 2FA now or later. (No email? Check spam or contact support.)
- Complete onboarding: accept the terms, enter an optional referral code, and finish the About You section.
- Log in to the dashboard — from there you can verify your account, connect exchanges or wallets, configure bots, and manage credits.
An account can be created without connecting an exchange, but trading functionality requires an active exchange API connection. Full walkthrough: How to Create an Account.
Verify Your Account (KYC)
AstraBit is required to comply with U.S. Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. Identity verification is required for access to certain AstraBit products and billing features.
- Log in and follow the initial prompt to complete KYC using Sumsub — or start it from Profile & Settings.
- You’ll be guided through Sumsub’s system.
- Once complete, you’ll receive an email confirming whether verification was successful.
You’ll need: a government-issued ID (passport, driver license, state/country ID) and proof of residency (utility bill, bank statement, tax statement). Reviews are performed by a third-party provider and may take additional time; if unsuccessful, you may be asked to resubmit documentation.
Connect an Exchange
AstraBit executes trades through your connected exchange — all orders go directly to your exchange account via API. AstraBit does not hold or move your funds.
- Prepare an exchange account — create or log in, complete verification, enable 2FA.
- Generate API keys — under API Management, create a key labeled for AstraBit; copy the API Key and Secret Key.
- Security requirement: read and trading permissions only — never enable withdrawals.
- Log into AstraBit — visit the API Manager and select Connect API.
- Add the exchange — choose it from the list, enter the keys and any additional info, confirm.
- Verify the connection — it appears under active connections, ready to assign to bots or strategies.
Supported: CEX — Binance, ByBit, Bitget, BingX, Kraken, KuCoin, OKX; DEX — ApeX Omni, Hyperliquid, WOOFi. Market conditions, exchange outages, or API limitations may affect order execution timing.
Understand Trading Strategies
A trading strategy is a predefined set of rules that determines when a bot may enter, manage, or exit a position. Strategies may incorporate technical indicators (RSI, MACD, moving averages), price action logic, trend or momentum systems, volatility or breakout conditions, and external signals such as TradingView alerts or API inputs.
- Pre-Built Strategies — marketplace-listed and configured for general use; for users seeking ready-to-use options.
- Independent Strategist Strategies — AstraBit-vetted strategies built by third-party strategists.
- Custom Signal Strategies — user-created via webhook, API, or scripts; for advanced users and developers.
Consider your risk tolerance, market and asset preferences, capital allocation approach, and whether you understand the strategy logic. Strategies may perform differently across market conditions — don’t use strategies you don’t understand.
Set Up Your Trading Bot
- Trading type — choose from the Strategy Marketplace, Elite Trader (Beta), Personal Strategies, or Sync Performance History (Codex Bot).
- Assign an exchange API — select a connected API or connect a new one. Make sure the account holds the required assets (typically USDC or USDT).
- Configure trade settings — capital allocation, leverage and margin mode (if applicable), stop-loss/take-profit, DCA or cooldown settings.
- Name and save the bot — review all settings before saving.
- Activate — the bot then monitors signals and submits trades per the strategy rules.
Bots begin monitoring only after activation with sufficient Credits available — if Credits run out, bots may stop until replenished. Leverage increases risk and may amplify losses. Full walkthrough: How to Set Up a Crypto Trading Bot.
Learn the Nexus Dashboard
The Nexus Dashboard is AstraBit’s central interface for managing bots, strategies, exchanges, and portfolio data:
- Portfolio Overview — aggregate balance, asset allocation visualizations, PnL summaries over selected timeframes.
- Bots and Strategies — status of active/paused/inactive bots, last signal received, allocation and configuration controls.
- Exchange and Wallet Connections — API-connected exchanges and wallet connections for decentralized strategies.
- Strategy Marketplace — browse strategies, view descriptions and creator profiles, subscribe or unsubscribe.
Portfolio data is based on information from connected exchanges and bots; it may be delayed or unavailable depending on exchange APIs or network conditions. Verify balances directly on your exchanges when needed.
