Connect ByBit to AstraBit
Link your ByBit account to AstraBit with API keys so the two platforms can communicate securely — where to find API settings on ByBit, how to create and configure keys, and where to enter that information in AstraBit. Three parts, six steps.

Before You Begin
What to Check First
Confirm these requirements before attempting to connect your ByBit Futures account to your AstraBit Nexus account via API.
Perpetuals Trading
You’ll be trading with USDT Perpetuals or Inverse Perpetual Contracts from your ByBit derivatives account.
Fund Before You Connect
Keep a minimum balance of $50–$100 in your derivatives wallet.
One-Way Mode Only
One-Way Mode must be enabled on your account. Hedge Mode is not supported for AstraBit strategies.
Least-Privilege API
Your API key only needs Read and Contract Trading access. Withdrawal and transfer permissions stay disabled — AstraBit never needs them.
Step-by-Step Setup

Six Steps
Create your ByBit API key, enable One-Way Mode, and connect it in AstraBit.
Required ByBit Configuration
- Position Mode: One-Way Mode (Hedge Mode not supported)
- Trading: USDT or inverse perpetuals
- Minimum balance: $50–$100 in derivatives wallet
Account type matters when setting permissions — select the options matching your Standard or Unified Trading Account.
Part 1 · Create Your ByBit API
Open API Management
- Log in to your ByBit account.
- Click your Profile icon.
- Navigate to API Management.
Create New API
- Click Create New Key.
- Select System-generated API key.
Configure API Permissions
Enable only the permissions required for AstraBit — it never needs withdrawal access.
✓ Enable
- Read
- Contract Trading (Derivatives)
✕ Disable
- Withdrawal
- Transfer
Account type matters: if you’re on a Standard Account, select the appropriate Standard Account permissions; if you’re on a Unified Trading Account, select Unified Trading Account permissions.
Confirm API Creation
- Complete email verification and Google Authenticator (if enabled).
- Copy your API Key and Secret Key.
The Secret Key is only shown once. Save it securely — if lost or compromised, generate a new API key immediately.
Part 2 · Enable One-Way Mode (Required)
Set Position Mode to One-Way
- Navigate to your Derivatives trading screen.
- Locate the Position Mode settings.
- Select One-Way Mode.
Attention: Hedge Mode is NOT supported for AstraBit strategies.
Part 3 · Connect ByBit to AstraBit
Connect in AstraBit
- Log in to your AstraBit Nexus Dashboard.
- Navigate to Exchanges → Connect Exchange → Bybit.
- Enter:
- API Name: anything you like
- API Key and Secret Key: from Step 4
- Contract Type: Perpetual Futures
- Position Mode: Auto sync from exchange
- Margin Type: Auto sync from exchange
- Click Connect.

Security Reminder
Your Keys, Your Funds
API permissions strictly limit what AstraBit can do with your ByBit account.
Cannot Withdraw
AstraBit cannot withdraw funds from your account. Ever.
Cannot Transfer
AstraBit cannot transfer funds between accounts or wallets.
Trades Only
AstraBit only executes trades based on your API settings.
